Where did the time go?

You really don't have long left. Seriously. All you have is about ten years before everything starts to change....drastically!

10 years and you're no longer the centre of their universe before other priorities begin to take your place. It's those first 10 years of your child's life that you are the centre of their universe. After that, hobbies, friends, sports, academics, boyfriend or girlfriends start to filter in...then its careers, spouses and their own lives. The list goes on.

Studies have shown that by the time your child turns 18 then you have spent between 80-95% of the total time YOU WILL EVER SPEND with them. To rephrase that...when they turn 18 years old there's only Tuesday night family dinners, Christmas lunch and the odd Facetime if you're lucky left. Of those 18 years, it was 'Front Loaded' meaning the majority of your time together was done in the earlier years.

But dive a little deeper and there's an element that I don't hear people talking about?

It's during those early years of a child's life that also coincide with the parents' trying to make a living, hustling, paying the mortgage and working hard to keep food on the table. Parents are sending their precious kids to school just so they can work! They're allowing 28 random kids plus a teacher to influence their child while they continue to work and all this is done assuming that their child is getting an education. Add to this that the only family interactions between Monday and Friday solely include the stressful morning routine and the overstimulated exhausted evenings and dinner. Woot!...said nobody ever. It is no wonder marriages are strained, parents are stressed and children feel an obligation to succeed without anybody having any true connection. I believe the time you have with your children before the age of 18 is far less! The study only counts days together but not the quality of those days. The study counts a day at school the same as a family day visiting a museum together...those two days are chalk and cheese.

What if I told you there was another way.

What if I said you can spend quality time with your child, earn a living and provide a more wholesome education. It's not hard. We do and so can you.

All of that aside, we use our online business to fund our lifestyle and our children's education. We are location free and the kids are taught in a holistic child-centric environment. It's our choice, it's tailored to our family and it works brilliantly. The kids are thriving, we are all exploring and discovering new things and having life experiences that we will remember forever. Life is too short and they're too precious. I remember when our oldest was school age I had a big "hell no" moment. I wasn't going to hand over my kid to the traditional schooling system wolves! We nurture our children. We facilitate them to flourish and grow. We pick them up when they need comfort and push them when they need development. As parents we know what they need and the rest falls into place. Trust me.
